The Emperor’s Circle, one of the world’s first Shen Yun appreciation and fundraising societies, held a benefit luncheon at Beverly Hill’s Four Seasons Hotel on December 12th, 2010. More than sixty people, including government and business dignitaries gathered at the elegant affair to share their appreciation for Shen Yun performances.
The guests of the luncheon all share a passion for traditional Chinese culture and agreed that Shen Yun Performing Arts is a treasure that must be shared with the whole world.
Event coordinators showed video clips of audience and artist interviews, organized Shen Yun trivia contests, and also invited former Shen Yun lead dancer Ms. Xiong Junxiu to recount some of her personal stories of her time with the troupe.
Also included in the program was a live fashion show displaying award-winning pieces from the 2010 Global Han Couture Design Competition and a “Wealth & Virtue” benefit auction conducted by renowned auctioneer Isadore Chait. Taiwanese-American artist Mr. He Niandan also donated one of his works in support.
The attendees of the luncheon told organizers they are all eagerly awaiting Shen Yun Performing Arts’ upcoming shows in Los Angeles in 2011.
